I am developing a new site that I think you might find interesting. It is to be a Christian Oriented Music/talk station with user contributions that can be uploaded via the web. I will use a MySQL database to manage the audio clips, and manage the station. I will have e-commerce features as follows: Advertisers can upload their advertisments and pay for the time with an integrated Paypal shopping cart. Program contributors can also upload their shows with the web interface, and pay for the time. There will be two classes of program and advertising contributors. Religious or non-profit groups will be able to advertise for free (PSA's) and disabled people trying to start home business (and fellow Ryze members) will get deeply discounted or free air time, depending on what they can afford. The station's URL for the web site is richardsnow.is-a-geek.net. So far I am in the early design stages and only the index.html page is done.

I plan to use this radio/station web site combination to get me out of debt and then to generate enough income that I can save up for some land and build a retirement home for myself (and perhaps a significant other if I find such a person).

This is relevant to the topic of this forum because the station software will be done in PHP/MySQL on a Linux Apache web server. I will also be offering PHP Classes as time permits. People will be able to take the classes online, and there will be no tuition. I just want redistribution rights (non-exclusive) for the Open Source Software developed by the school's students as school projects.

I have a lot of ideas and lots of time, since I am a disabled veteran who is considered to be unemployable. So I might as well help out this wonderful community of people that I have found here on Ryze.com.
